The 4th of July is definitely starting to be one of my favorite holidays. I spent most of my day manning the grill and sitting in the 12 foot pool that we found at Big Lots (best purchase I have made all year). I am thankful for all the great friends that showed up and for the Hog Slop guys for playing some music for us. America!

Did this Face to Face poster a couple of weeks ago for a show here in Nashville at Exit in. Growing up I loved Face to Face, it’s good to see that they are still going.

On another note I just got a new iPad and it pretty much rules my life right now. If anyone has any suggestions for sweet apps just let me know, Im currently on the hunt for a stylus so I can draw on it.

I used to be so brown! Now I have seasons which bring pale white skin, most people don’t even know that I am 100% Mexican. It’s a sad thing. My goal for the summer… Total Hispanic brownness. And it starts today at centennial park.

The way that music is being presented has gone way past the idea of simply going to a record store and purchasing a CD on tuesday of your favorite band. I remember when I was younger and there was no internet, yes there was a time before the world wide web and Google ruled the world. And the fan experience was very simple, maybe you joined a fan club and payed $25 bucks for a t-shirt and a mailer that you got a couple of times a year. Or maybe it was simply going to Tower records or Fingerprints in Long Beach. The fan experience has changed so much and the way that people present music is consistently becoming more and more creative, I love it!

Things like bandcamp.com or the idea of paying for a tweet is just insane to me. So simple yet so affective, you can automatically send your music out to hundreds of people just by one person clicking on a button on there browser…. wonderful. The Art that some artist are integrating with the music like the Cold War Kids or Paper Route, going to there websites is like going to see a interactive painting. Art and music have gone so far beyond just a jewel case, its wonderful.

My good friends Chad & Candy Pearson are trying to rase money to bring there new adopted son Clifford A.K.A. Cliffy G home from Ethiopia. Chad & Candy are two of the most loving and other centered people that I know. And now they are adopting a son from Ethiopia, how amazing is that! Help support and bring Cliffy home by buying a shirt and wearing it with pride.

Did this poster a month back for a lovedrug show at exit/in. I love doing posters because it gives me a break from coding and staring at typography all day to do a little illustration. And lets just face it Lovedrug is a great band!
