The Hog Slop guys Playing some music for us towards the end of the day.

Rebecca loves America.

The 4th of July is definitely starting to be one of my favorite holidays. I spent most of my day manning the grill and sitting in the 12 foot pool that we found at Big Lots (best purchase I have made all year). I am thankful for all the great friends that showed up and for the Hog Slop guys for playing some music for us. America!

TV on the Radio is by far one of my favorite bands right now and there new record “Nine Types of Light” is far from a let down. I can’t stop listening to it. They will be here soon playing at The Ryman and I’m definitely getting tickets.

Did this Face to Face poster a couple of weeks ago for a show here in Nashville at Exit in. Growing up I loved Face to Face, it’s good to see that they are still going.

It’s been a couple of weeks now since I have started my new job at IOStudio and I have to say that I love it. It’s been a little slow going with projects coming in but I’ve gotten the opportunity to work on some pretty fun stuff so far. It seems like I will be able to stretch all of my creative skill, design, illustration, photography and coding and do some really great stuff. This year is the year I have decided to start entering my work in design and illustration annuals. I have poster coming up for the Get Up Kids and just finished this one for a local show with Living sacrifice, it’s going to be a two color on Cougar white stock paper.

On another note I just got a new iPad and it pretty much rules my life right now. If anyone has any suggestions for sweet apps just let me know, Im currently on the hunt for a stylus so I can draw on it.

Currently listening to the new TV On The Radio’s, Nine Types of Light.

Today is really one of the first days of good weather in Nashville, it’s been a long and cold winter for this California boy. Recently an old friend of mine posted some photos on my facebook of when I was 18. Long before Moved to Nashville.

I used to be so brown! Now I have seasons which bring pale white skin, most people don’t even know that I am 100% Mexican. It’s a sad thing. My goal for the summer… Total Hispanic brownness. And it starts today at centennial park.
