Scooters are the new iPhone

So in my attempted to “Go Green” (Going green is what people do to make themselves feel better while actually doing nothing, other than buying a T-shirt or putting a sticker on there car that makes there claim of carbon freedom)… I got a Vespa!
Well thats a load of crap, what really happened is that one day while I was at Fido having a meeting with my buddy Chad about the old P is for Panda, I got a unexpected call from my friend Colleen. A few months back I had entertained the thought of buying Colleens vintage 1961 Vespa VNB from here, but other than talk nothing really happened. So when I got a call from her asking me if I wanted it, I totally jumped at the chance. I have always wanted a Vespa but never really had a chance to get one. ot only did I get one, I got the exact one I wanted… a sweet vintage vespa!
Last sunday I got a chance to join Ethan and a couple of my buds from East Side Scooters on a group ride through Nashville. I would like to say I went on the whole ride but just as I was getting started my carburetor started to leak. Got to love old scooters but they are a lot of work and upkeep to make sure they run well. After a little carb check I was back in action, scooter is running great and I’ve spent a little over 10 bucks on gas this month which makes my scooter “Green” as hell…. Apparently scooters are the new iPhone!
